The Comanche Where did they live - The Comanche lived in the northern part of the Great Plains near Lubbock and Amarillo. Homes - They lived in teepees that were made out of buffalo skin and sticks. They were easy to put up, take down and travel with when on the move following herds of buffalo. Clothing - They wore dresses and pants made out of buffalo skin. How did they get their food - They hunted for buffalo. There were many buffalo in the Great Plains, so the Comanche would follow the herds wherever they went.
